Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)
Sound reeeaaallyyy boring 😂 I’ll give ya 100 bucks for it. It would go well next to my petrol head mothers LSX powered, red and white 2 door 55 The 55 Chevy is my dream car. In red and white. My first car was a 54 Chevy 150 Utility Sedan... missed it by a year! I built the 235 up, lowered it, nosed...

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)
Screw the VW show us the chev in the back ground 😜 That thing? It's kinda boring actually. It's my friend's 1956 Chevy. He inherited it from his grandfather, who bought it used in 1967, drove it for a bit, then parked it and decided to put a V8 in it, but never finished it. We pulled it out of a ba...

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
That's it! Seeing how much is missing, and impossible to find, the price is too much I think. Although... with a Frog transmission and rear suspension setup...

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
Ok vintage gurus... what was this thing? It's for sale, and for some reason, I want to buy it... maybe it's the idea of "Vintage Gold Pan"

Re: Dyeing Super Star wheels
These are the wheels. I soaked them in dollar store bleach for a few hours, and gave them a quick wipe down with a rag. No scrubbing involved. It's an old trick I learned building static model kits. Yours turned out nice. Soaked mine in the bleach for a few hours, twice. But they're a weird yellowi...

Re: Dyeing Super Star wheels
They came out reasonably well. Definitely good enough for a runner... when the truck is finally running.
I *might* dye them again when I have more time. I was kind of rushed. I think if I had let them stay in the dye longer, they would've ended up more even.- Fri Sep 24, 2021 2:29 pm

Touring cars are pretty fun. There's a lot of pavement in the world. That looks like a pretty sweet setup. You can always sell it later.... Thanks! I always say the same thing - I can sell it later - but strangely, I can't. The only car I've actually sold through all my time in the hobby was an Axi...

XXX-S G+
I replied to a craigslist ad for a guy wanting to sell off his RC stuff. Mostly Traxxas, some Redcat, nothing really too desirable. Off to the side there was a bin with some tires, and sitting in it was a rough looking touring car. It looked like a mostly complete roller, so I asked him how much he ...

Re: My B3 project
Well... it's a runner. I stuffed a Reedy 3300kv brushless setup from a DR10 in it, and was able to drive it around the yard today. What an absolute joy to drive! I haven't glued the rear tires yet, when I get the body painted, I want to take some nice pics of it, and just in case I make a mess of gl...

I have always wanted a Sand Scorcher. I honestly think this is why I build full size VWs. Nice score and looks great.
