Good job it's only two votes, I needed 11 votes to be fair.Frankentruck wrote: ↑Fri Dec 02, 2022 8:36 am The 2 votes thing escaped me. Read the instructions? Who does that? Too many excellent builds to gawk at. Very distracting.
If only the 2 vote ability was standard every month...

Re: Hirobo 44Bs and Zerda :)
With reference to the upgrade GRP chassis plate you do both know that the owner of Factory Works is our very own GoMachV , Jeff is the go to guy for CNC cut GRP chassis parts and into 3d printing too . I didn't know, thanks, I'd assumed my grp part was a hirobo CT? as per the parts list. Has some s...

Re: Hirobo 44Bs and Zerda :)
There's a roll bar/body support at the rear of the battery box and a support post goes on the centre bolt of the bumper fixing points.have you got them or do you want dimensions.
Also alternative body posts kit for other body options.

Re: Hirobo 44Bs and Zerda :)
Just info, but a grp chassis plate was an upgrade or option for 44b. Part number in accessories in the manual. Slightly more flexible but returns to shape. I got one via eBay a while ago. The aluminium plate was very bent on mine like someone had tried to shape it like zerda camber at the front. I d...

Shock data. Piston shaft lengths 41mm and 33mm x 3mm Piston head 7.5mm dia Cylinder barrel 38mm plus 8mm fixing head Dia 10mm wall thickness abt 0.5mm The oil passing around the piston instead of through holes is a poor point in design. So is the method of fixing seals in the cap. And shafts wear by...

Re: Hirobo Zerda: from wreck to runner
Addressing the single bearing and 12 mm hex issue. I got some cheap tamiya hbx axles, found 10x15x4 bearings fit the narrow part of the cup. Can't find 5x15x5 bearings so used the zerda 6x15x5 with some spacer. Plastic until maybe some 6mm tube with .495 wall is acquired. Dadio printed some 4mm knuc...

Dadio's zerda knuckle bespoke adapters (next to the red knuckle)

Re: Hirobo Zerda: from wreck to runner
Happy accident...been talking about wheel track width recently so measured zerda with stock wheels and got 24cm to outside edge of tyre. By a quirk of fate the 12mm hex wheels with adapters produced the same width even with the rear being a wider wheel. Hadn't even thought of offset. Jammy or what.

The upper deck post triangular piece raises the deck and standard size servo usually fits. Have you referred to the Options in the manual re deck bending and cutting recesses? But there's several possible mods to steering with different servo savers which might be improve with changes to the servo m...

Dimensions
I wonder if you find it as annoying as I do that many products and spares don't give a good description of measurements. Especially with vintage models for which spares are difficult to come by. Probably loads of compatible or adaptable parts if sufficient descriptions were available. A database on ...

Re: Dadio's 3D Printing Stuff
I've printed a couple of the ones you wanted today , I found the Zerda bearings I have are 5mm thick so I made a 5mm thick version as well , I'm printing one of the version for the Hotshot axle at the moment , in my mind the one for the Hotshot axle is a better bet as both bearings sit in it where ...
