Short Arm AB Chassis?

Was the original short arm car ever supplied with an AB stealth drilled chassis? Timeline says yes but there’s a strong opinion out there that the answer is no

The AB stamp was an A stamp chassis that was then drilled for a stealth and a B stamped over the A. The stealth came after the CE front arms were out, so there shouldn’t have been any way to get a short arm kit with a AB stamp chassis. Even mispackaged, the short arms were well gone by the time the stealth was out.

That seems to be the consensus, maybe our 25 year timeline needs adjusting?

I've had the short arm car kicking around for a while and was not able to run the rear wheels up front due to the b44 style blocks. Just too large. I sent J-Sou a ten4 steering set to get the measurements off from, and a set of Kyosho steering...

Finally got caught up enough to build a runner from my parts bin. Fresh rebuilt 6 gear (rockin a new set of OG white idlers :shock: ) smooth as can be! I did update the chassis just a bit, it’s 1/4” longer to accommodate a lipo pack and bolt in...

Hmmmm... interesting. I had not really noticed the rake. I looked at it last night and it is small (looks like more in the pic) but it is there. The tie-rods look to be angled up, not level, so the front may indeed be a bit too low. I'll also bust...

My build up so far...parts were leftovers from my re-re (tranny/front arms) and old cruddy parts I wasnt going to use on anything else.

Originally it was all going to be built onto a TQ10 chassis, but the project changed directions :)

I bought my T3 just when the long chassis became the kit standard, but came across a short chassis/battery hold down that had be used as a mid motor dirt oval car. Wondering if the short T3 is the rarest of the breed. No pictures as the chassis is...

Are there different sizes of the B2-chassis available: short / standard length?? If yes, how much shorter is the short chassis?

I think it's about 5mm shorter. In 1/10 rc that's a big difference! 8)
