I had this car that I got off ebag as an impulse buy. since i've been collecting Losi's like a madman lately I decided to let my wallet cool off and try to make something out of this car. My ground rules I set for myself were that I had to build it from stuff I had on hand - no money could be spent on any part of it. So, here is what i came up with. Sadly, I think I will have to break my only rule since the ball ends on the front suspension are binding against each other. i will have to come up with some flatter ball ends or change out the steering arms I guess. I used T3 front shocks on the rear and the shocks that i got with this buggy for the front. I dyed some of the parts black again and also raided my parts box for other pieces such as the Andy's front arms to go with the Andy's rear arms that were already there. I sanded the bottom and filled a couple minor dents and heavier scratches then sprayed it with Mopar Argent Silver. Powdercoating was out since this was a "free" project. I have installed mix and match turnbuckles and the bearings that came out of the car. I will still need to change all the ball ends eventually for new, and touch up a couple of dings I inflicted during assembly. Anyway, hope you like it, i enjoyed building it!

Thanks guys, I appreciate it. I forgot to mention that this tub was warped very badly like a swayback mule. I used a couple blocks of wood and my bench vise to get it straight.

I painted up a shell rather quickly this evening. Not my best effort, but ok for this beast. At least the stripes are straight! Now a final trim, a few stickers and some paint on the wing and this one is ready to go.

pin-stripe tape can do wonders to add a little detail

Thanks guys. I had to be selective about the photos I posted because I made the mistake of putting the silver down before I decided to paint the sides red. I had some red speckles in the silver in a few places. Rookie mistake. Good thinking about pinstripes. I need to get to the hobby shop but my budget is blown as usual! Yeah, my collection of "nice" cars is growing. Time to weed out some of this stuff!
