What JRXT is this?
What JRXT is this?
I picked this up from a coworker. I think there was a JRXT and a JRXT2. Not sure what I have....
Re: What JRXT is this?
It's a JRXT, the next truck out was the LXT with the molded chassis and longer suspension arms. The JRXT that you have there was the first "race level" truck offered by any manufacturer, after the JRXT everyone went to longer suspension arms and a less scale looking truck. The JRXT was the first ROAR truck national champ, driven by Jammin' Jay

Aaaaahhhh crap! I'm about to get passed by that orange truck!

I could be wrong, but I don't think the production first-gen JRXTs used the 4-link rear suspension.

I think you're wrong, it looks totally genuine, except for the rear springsRER40 wrote:I could be wrong, but I don't think the production first-gen JRXTs used the 4-link rear suspension.

Re: What JRXT is this?
The jrx-T's all had the 5- link rear end. The side bulkheads were changed somewhere along the way to be a little stiffer, and other subtle changes were made, but the jrx-t did not have h-arms as box stock.
The junior-T was the first truck to have them and the pro was the first buggy with h-arms.
Nice truck, just blow off the dust.

Sorry, English is not my mother tongue, I should have said "original"RER40 wrote:I'm not saying it's not genuine, just that when they released the truck (at the same time of the second gen car) that the H-arms were being used as production bits.Asso_man! wrote:I think you're wrong, it looks totally genuine, except for the rear springsRER40 wrote:I could be wrong, but I don't think the production first-gen JRXTs used the 4-link rear suspension.
We'd found that the 4-link, while great in premise, that the front chassis mounts flexed too much (I think A&L made delrin mounts that were really sturdy) even using buggy rims and tires and broke too easily. We continued to use the 4-link on really rutted surfaces, but mostly ran the H-arms the rest of the time.
I did like the 4-link on my trucks, I just don't remember them being in the production kits.

Re: What JRXT is this?
Nice truck Bill.
If you're planning to restore that to original specs, you'll need:
90 tooth gray spur gear
white jrxt bell cranks
black progressive rear springs.
Can't be 100% sure, but I think you may have an LXT body.

not really sure what my plans for it are yet. Like I said, never been a Losi guy.
