Removing Paint from a Body

What is the best method to remove paint from lexan bodies? I have read goop off, paint thinner and recently brake fluid?

Have a few old bodies and i would like to have them repainted, just want to make sure i don't ruin any of them

If you guys have stripped a body and have the hazed windows, try spraying them with a clear coat. In most cases, that will make the windows clear again.

Hello everyone - I have a couple of car bodies that the paint is chipping. I would like to refinish as they have the stickers on them. I seen that tamiya has a paint remover. Is this fine to use to remove all the paint or is it just for cleaning up...

I've tried nitro fuel too. If DOT3 brake fluid won't remove it, nitro fuel won't even touch it. :(

Thanks for mentioning that about Pactra paint by the way, good to know.

And I'll post my nitro fuel results on the 18-19 yr old paint.

So i've got a set of plastic rims, im guessing made of nylon, that were painted a long time ago. Needless to say, the paint now looks absolutely horrible and id like to try and remove it.

Any suggestions as to what chemical can do this w/o...

Does anyone have any tried and true methods for saving old parts like these? Not concerned with the wheel, just the tire. Just grabbed these off fleabay. Appreciate any suggestions.

Tried a variety of things. The best is in the ultrasonic cleaner with the heat on, which softens the paint making it flexible and can then be picked and peeled off. Took a small sample of rubber and soaked it on the acetone with no ill effect to the...

Guys, I have some old front RC10 rims that are painted. I want to strip the paint and dye them. What can I use to strip the paint that won't hurt the nylon? Any suggestions?

to remove chrome plating from wheels people have used oven cleaner or draino (i have never tried these methods cause i like my chrome lol). removing superglue people boil them or use acetone. i would give one of these methods a shot. i have also...

I did some searching, but didn't find anything. I just purchased a CE edition gold pan and someone painted alot of the nylon. It is still in good condition, just looks horrible. Can these be soaked in Super Clean or brake fluid like styrene to strip...
