jwscab is correct, I'm definitely talking about "JC Racing" wheels and they're definitely the right offset - I've just double checked the measurement against my original wheels :)

Sorry guys, but I've read this thread about 4-5 times over the past month and I'm still totally confused. I'm looking to convert my RC10 graphite to modern racing wheels and tires while maintaining legal width. What's a cost effective way to do this?

That answer depends on if you just want to run modern tires, or modern wheels like a b4.

If you want to just run modern tires, Get a set of JC wheels off Ebay. Or look for a Thunder Tiger Phoenix wheels ( I think, I might have the model b3 clone wrong).
If you're using the older 1/4" axles then you'll have to ream some material out of the inside of the wheel.

If you want to go the B4 wheel route then there are many ways that have been done, Do a little research and have fun!!

Either run dynotech arms with a gt hub carrier and b4 rear cvd

Or do the Jharris modern racer way, B4 hub carriers and a little tinkering.

I was searching eBay and the internet and can't seem to find the JC Racing wheels mentioned earlier in this thread (these are 2.2" wheels that are supposed to be bolt-on for the vintage RC10)...

Does anyone know if JC Racing are still making these wheels?

Yes, these will work for you for the front. Any 2.2 front tire will work for you then. Its also been suggested to use an alternate glue instead of CA glue...a tire glue that is safe for plastics but can't find the thread right now.

my LHS stll has a tub of old rims..All colors..also one piece and 2 piece...Only thing is, it is hard mounting the current tires since they are too big....I like the old rims...Who has 2.1 or 2.0 tires?

Once I get my used Vintage motor and get my vintage ESC (Novak T4) connected I think I am going to put B4 front axles, steering arms and steering blocks on my 36010 Gold Pan. I want to use cheaper modern tires up front.

I have 2 sets of OEM truck rears rears with good tread (one pair spike and 1 pair cross-hatch dirt tread), so for what I will use it for they will be fine. It was strange, they were using the rears up front, and the fit was not bad. Just not buggy like.

If i have to do more than that I will just eBay the whole thing and buy some aluminum stuff for the Stampede.

so, the consensus is now, with available parts :

buy a 1007 rc10 mip cvd and buy 2 3/16 mip cvd axles for a t2 or gt, and put the 3/16 axles on the 1007 cvd shafts ? will this work ? im sick of reaming out my wheels :x everything is stock rc10. im just looking to run 2.2 thunder tigers and b2/b3 wheels when i can find them.

i have read over the information in here, and all the links or b2/b3 cvd's are gone. funny tower still stocks cvd's for original rc10, but not b2 or b3 anymore
