I remember you posted that pic awhile back. Is it still a runner. Do you dare to still run it if it is?

naw, its not a runner anymore. it never really was...
i did take it out once on pavement and the thing was pretty fast. but i was so worried about wrecking it that i didnt put more than maybe 30 seconds on it. the two speed kicked in once and i dunno if it actually glitched or if it was my imagination, but that was enough for me to not run it anymore.

Priceless vintage car with a $20 sport battery pack in it, and a beginner's speedo with giant battery plugs.
We're gonna have to edumacate you some more.

wow. you insult me and then think a wink will make it seem funny?
i make absolutely no apologies for that setup, a novak ss and a sport pack connected with powerpoles are fine by me.

not gonna insult you on your choice of electronics... I still use old Futaba 210CB's but with it being a vintage r/c would it not make sense to put in vintage electronics?
O yeah, killer looking RC10. I wouldn't mind one looking like that!

when i originally bought the stuff, it was all the latest and greatest besides the powerpoles, which are a personal choice and something you pretty much commit to after wiring everything up to use them for years and years.
i even used powerpoles in my car stereo install...

I'm on the same page Bill, all of my cars run with vintage Futaba am electronics, Novak T-4s and T-1s and a Futaba 112 that I keep trying to melt down. No glitching, no interference either. Then again I'm not running against a boat load of other cars either. NiCd to boot.
Almost forgot, nice ride hoopty.

I can't knock the powerpoles. If you raced with efficient plugs back in the day you either had these or the deans 4 pin connector that also came with some novak speed controls.
Nice wiring job on the car stereo! Very clean and professional.

fusion speed.
jim (aka grizzly) hooked me up with 2 NIP a year or so ago. many many thanks to jim for initiating the trade.
i still have one nip, i opened the other and built pretty much a stocker 6010 out of it, and this one i picked up in pretty much the condition you see here (besides some cleaning up and the 2speed and wheels) off ebay. i would never have had the balls to cut the chassis to mount the swingarms, but the person who did it executed the job very well.
heres the stocker 6010
anyway, i know readers rides belong in the readers rides, but like the title said i was just bored and figured i'd spam...

You have a bitchin' top-dollar, high-end chassis with low end radio gear. Looked very odd to me, that's all. No offense intended. Do what you want, I'll keep my comments to myself from now on.

Doug, your comments and contributions to this board are MUCH appreciated.
truth is ya hurt my feelings a little bit and i reacted to it, and for that i apologize. (i dont apologize for using powerpoles though!)
i wish i had the knowledge and know how on actually using these rigs for thier intended purpose, but the truth is i just like to build them up and put 'em on the shelf. i've since transfered all that elec stuff to another rc10 that i intended to be a runner, and i still have yet to drive a complete pack through it... i gotta say tho with a ready made pack and the novak ss its a hoot.
besides, when it comes to runners, these things are more my speed anyway.
again Doug, dont let my childish reaction to light-hearted criticism in any way limit your postings. if anything you need to post more often...
