Nice Vanning Off The Bay

Been watching a Kyosho Vanning for awhile now on Ebay..just couldn't bring myself to pay the US$499 he was asking for it. It's been up for auction a few times but hadn't sold. It was relisted again and I noticed that "Best Offer" had been added to it. So I thought I'd be cheeky and offered him $350 I was more than a little surprised when he agreed. He also did me a sharp deal on the shipping, I buy things off Ebay often and because I live in New Zealand shipping can often kill a great deal. I recently paid US$75 for an RC10 plus US$65 for shipping so when he asked for US$44 for a much larger item (1/8 scale) I was pretty happy. The disappointing part for me is that it doesn't require much work to have it looking good

That is so cool! I wish I could justify that kind of money all at once. Invariably, if i save up there is always something that comes first. :(

 Lol..Justify?...man I just hide it. I used to collect old RC cars years ago mostly Tamiya even though when I raced I raced Kyosho. But due to circumstances beyond my control I ended up having to sell them all. Anyway while making a trade locally I was lucky enough to met probably New Zealand's biggest collector of vintage RC cars. There must be over 250-300 cars in his collection not to mention helicopters, boats, trucks, tanks, and planes. I'm not sure of the exact amount because there are too many to display at once. He has all of the early Tamiya cars and most of the early Kyosho cars including some that date back to the early 70's I think.

So when I see what he spends I don't feel so bad about it. :( I will try and get some pictures for you of parts of his collection if anybody is interested.

Any of you, who have seen the above pictures, would of noticed how worn the tyres (tires) are. That would have been the first things that would have needed to be replaced. So unfortunately when the set below came up on Ebay I had to buy them...US$153 plus shipping  cringe...anyway how often would they come up?...to justify it I reminded myself that I just paid the same money for a set of Wild Willy tyres (tires) and these are much much bigger.. now this is getting way too expensive..I better stay off Ebay..
