Anyone have any tips on polishing lexan?

Post by aconsola »

I've got a body that is un-run but has quite a bit of "shelf wear" I tried some automotive polish on a couple of the scratches and now have fine haze instead of a single scratch :(

any advice on what to use? I've got a couple scratches and several hazy areas where the body was likely rubbing on the other contents of the box. Too bad they didn't have lexan overspray film BITD.
Thanks,

I use a product called Novus it comes in a 3 part formula (3 different bottles) and it works very well indeed. I've used it on lexan and srb radio boxes with very good results. It can be applied by hand or mini buff. Hope this helps.

I have used Micro Mark polishing kits for years. I have polished ABS plastic, clear coats, varnish, lexan, and even glass with them. They are great little kits and well worth the money.
35 years of RC and still broke!
