Bad Idea
I tried to tell scr8p that this was a bad idea, but he wouldn't listen. I think he, MelvinsArmy, and Badhoopty have been hanging out together again ...

Re: Bad Idea
that wasn't a bad idea. that's what i call an engineering marvel.
i still haven't installed the helper springs on the blazer yet, though.

Re: Bad Idea
Can you imagine seeing something like that rolling down the road?
I can't decide if I like the helper chains on the tailgate or the helper block in the receiver better.

Re: Bad Idea
i swear, that has to be one of the greatest pics i've ever seen. i love seeing creative people at work.
that thing must have quite a turning radius...... like the size of earth. since sitting straight, it looks like the camper is 6-8 inches away from the corners of the blazer's roof.
i know one thing. if it broke free while i was driving it, i'd pray it happened during acceleration and not deceleration.

Runaway trailers ain't fun, particularly when they're 10 times larger than the tow vehicle! LOL
Anyone wanna bet that the Blazer's only got a 4 banger under the hood?

Re: Bad Idea
This looks like a few of my customers situations.
One of them brought in a "Trans slipping 4.2 V6 F150" As I was racking it, I noticed the 5th wheel and airbags on the rear leaf springs......
The rule is:
If you can hook it up, it should pull it....

Re: Bad Idea
From the looks of it, it's already loaded. Or maybe it was scr8p that was loaded when he thought attaching that thing to the Blazer was a good idea. He should have gone for the F150 that fordtransman was talking about.wyldbill wrote:is that what you guys will be showing up in for the next vintage nat's? woo hoo, party trailer!

Some people do not realize the enormity of physics. 4 woodscrews and a block of wood will surely have no problem with the forces of a 8,000 lb gooseneck trailer.
