well it was no steal by any means... but ive been looking at this car for 6 days now (it was originally 400+25 shipping), hoping someone would buy it now on me so i wouldnt have to do it... I have wanted one of these cars since childhood, but back in'86 my parents wouldnt let me play with gas lol, gay i know.. and by the time i was old enough to get one, i couldnt find one... and for years i was always looking for one in the back of my mind... saw a couple come along on tamiyaclub from time to time... but there was always random problems with them.. i never saw a nice one on ebay ever. I was going to settle with the few Kyosho Assaults i found.. but i didnt like the body on the assault

i actually bought the chassis and some misc parts for the car, and 6 parts later i was up to $135 lol, and that was really just the front/rear arms, driver cage and front wheels lol.

so i pulled the trigger, a bit high yes, but assembling the car from scratch woulda put me over $1000 mark by the time im done.

I need to find some new rear rims, i already have some fronts... so if anyone has them, or any othe random parts let me know.

gonna contact marwan and kamtec to see if i can get a new body/decals, i know marwan has the decals...

Mike, I have the Kamtec body for mine and Marwan's decals as well. Kamtec over the years has been hit and miss with orders, but appear to have improved there service.

There is never a concern with Marwan's products. Great quality and service.

I was typing prior to your pictures and misread it as an Assault. I have the Assault body.

well in my tradition now of ONLY buying completed cars, or large lots of parts... i wanted a scorpion for a while now and have been looking, this one came along this morning and i had to have it, price is a little high, but it looks pristine and restored, and if i were to buy a lesser one that needed even just 4-5 parts, i would be well into the $400+ range probably with the car and the few "rare" parts that pop along on ebay sometimes. Hell even a set of tires and rims would cost me $100+ bucks, i have seen these chrome rims sell for $50 on ebay JUST For the fronts.

How do you figure that? Not in my experience, especially when it comes to the Turbo.

It is the same, but like Jay, Marwan just makes a little serie of each and when they are done it's: wait till the next time, if there even is a next time... So you're either lucky and around when he goes for it, or you miss it.

At least that's the impression I got sofar. It would be nice if you proove me wrong: he made a couple real nice bodies

I was thinking originals more so that repros. Marwan's stuff is very good, although his bodies have lost some of the details (I am not complaining as I have bought a bunch of stuff from him). His decals on the other hand are just about perfect.
