Boca Bearings, very wasteful

So I get my order of 4 ball bearings today from Boca Bearings. I open it to find eleven 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" full color, double sided glossy cards. Some of them opened up to double the size. All advertisements for Boca Bearings and their website. Stuff I would have seen on their website, when I placed my order. On top of that, my bearings were sealed in a zip lock bag that was then sealed in a larger zip lock bag. What could they possibly be thinking? I know what I'm thinking, I wish they'd knock it off, maybe stop paying their printer and zip lock bag supplier so much and pass the savings on to me, and maybe help keep a few extra hundred tons of garbage out of the landfill.

Yeah, they send a lot of glossy post cards. They've also sent me their catalog and a mouse pad. I actually use the mouse pad as it has 1:1 common bearings on it for matching sizes.

all that and no stickers?
Avidrc.com FTW! 1 plain paper invoice,1 mini ziplock per bearing type and sometimes a small set of stickers.

I agree, very wasteful, but the same thing could be said for 99% of all other products in the world and the retailers you buy them from.

Agreed and you are a bit limited about what you can do about that..... but, now ask what can you do with the cards you have been dealt? Seriously, think about it. Do you simply toss them in the trash?

If they are mailers with 'Postage paid' stamps on them. Stick em back into the mailbox and send em back to Boca blank. Costs them money for everyone you send back, nice trick for magazines who load up their pages with this crap

At the dealer, when I order the Direct clutches for the 4R7-series transmissions, the clutch plates (6) all come in one box. The steel plates are individually double wrapped in plastic. Granted, steels tend to stick together in packaging, and should be separated, but why only THIS trans? And why cant the individually wrap 6 steels and put them all in one larger package... ?? Makes no sense to me either.

That's a good trick with all spam snail mail advertising. We will stuff prepaid envelopes with whatever we can fit that's heavy because postage is weight based.

Particularly useful for political campaign garbage. Now if there were a way to spam the phone lines back to those dirty @$#^%&*(!@#$!

i personally can't understand why you'd get bearings anywhere else. how can you beat $1.00 each?
