Was that the one with the "Highway Hornet" in it? I still remember their build...grasshopper 2 front arms (upside down), fuel tubing shocks, etc...
It's funny how the human brain can store insignificant information about a magazine from 20 years ago, but still can't remember one's wedding anniversary

I dont get it? that Camaro is way to cool looking to put on a Hornet? shouldn't you put it on a pan car or Touring car?

That was one of those RCCA builds where they took a normal car and hopped it up. They wanted to see how a plastic entry level car competed on carpet with the right modifications. The other drivers were pretty much stunned when they found out that a hornet was under that body.

Thats Cool

I always liked the underdog!! I use to kill them with a motifided Lunchbox with a graphite chassis I made. I miss it very much of all of the cars I sold thats the one I miss the most

yup, that's the one. i had that issue, and 14 complete years of rcca (90-04), and tossed them all in the dumpster a few years ago.
the "highway hornet" was the whole reason i was looking for this issue last year. besides having the hornet itself (still need to grab a re-re), i think i have everything to build a replica of it. jay hooked me up with the grasshopper 2 front arms and some foam mounted bbs wheels, i found the decals on ebay, and doug hooked me up with a new, uncut mrp asa camaro body.

I had one of those bodies, but got rid of it before I joined the forum. I personally would love to find a NIP MRP Capri Asa.

I have tossed those in the trash in the past because they are to big to ship at a fair price and there was no real interest in them and the shipping was more than what the bodies would sell for. I will check my boxes O bodies for you guys and see what I can find.
I think I have some left. If I find some they will be real cheep for you guys! I would love to make some room.

NEVER THROW ANYTHING AWAY WITH OUT ASKING FIRST!

(Rolling eyes is just kidding).
Before I through anything way, I would put in the BST with FREE just pay shipping. The problem, I don't through anything away, if I do it would be recycled anyway (yes I huged my tree today).

I meant in past years like when you were buying those Proline 962 off of me for 19.99 and the shipping was allmost as high as the price you paid for the body. Back then a ASA body seemed not to be worht the shipping charge. I was moving and trying not to become a pack rat:) if it was not moving back then I would just move it my self
