Hi guys,

Thanks to Chewbacca I finally get my hand on one of my most wanted R/C items: a carbon fiber tub. This one is directly coming from outer space, brought back to Earth by a Wookie who travelled a lot to come to it... I know there's another version with carbon fibers woven in the direction of the chassis (can't remember the brand though), Mr. Lexan bought one recently for a few bucks, maybe he could post some pictures of it?

Now I have to decide whether it will be fitted with white and/or black parts, gold or kaki team shocks... mmh, decisions... Or maybe with aluminium A-arms (could someone recall me the URL of that e-shop still making some?) and blacks parts? Time will tell... what I am already sure is that it will have brand new Fibre-Lyte front and rear shock towers and tranny brace (still available). Comments are welcome, images are clickable

FyberLyte are just up the road from me :D

A mate of mine used to race a carbon tub chassis RC10, but always ran it with standard black ali front nose for more steering.

I don't think I could dare to run this chassis even on the most soft carpet :P

Yeah, I brought that chassis back from my home planet Kashyyk, as an indestuctable RC10....

I personally think black parts with as much silver aluminum as possible (arms etc.) would make a GREAT RC10.

Absolutely beautiful.

I'd do all white 1992 Team Car parts on it, no doubt. White Stealth, hard anodized shocks with the black caps, wide front end... definitely.

Awesome.

Trust me, you can't beat black woven carbon fibre paired with polished aluminium or chrome...

Yes, I think I'll be heading for those A-arms, Fibre-Lyte shocks towers and polished front tubes, BLING BLING 8)

Yeah... white RPM .. Gold and black on carbon tubs seem like old news now....!! hehehe ;)

P.S.. I like the look of your nicely laminated carbon MUCH better compared to the full tub molded fabric. No matter what you do, I'm looking forward to checking out your finished build. Not much that can make that Carbon Fiber look bad!

I'll be happy to send you a set of polished front tubes if you need them.

thanks to alex, you now have PROOF that a carbon tub looks very very bad with aluminum bits.

i do agree the fibrelyte's look sexier than our fusions. but the fusion speeds are still pretty stylin'
