Hello there!

Sebastian and me had a great race-weekend at the german regionals in Burgdorf (north of germany).
We drove our Team Mooh RC10 Cars and had a lot of fun there. After qualifying Sebastian was 6th position and I was on the 5th place.

Both cars was running fantastic on the grass-track! Both of us was driving a BL-Set-up. Sabastian with 6-cell battery and a 6.5T Motorand I was driving a 5-cell battery with a 5.5T Motor. It seems, that I was a little faster and maybe I had the car with most power on this race (!).

We installed the B4-Slipper clutch, what was a big help there. It works very well on the original stealth-transmission!

We had a fantastic result for Team Mooh at this race! So much fun and exciting racing with big jumps, a grass-track and fantastic wheather! Best race since years!

Congrats to Sebastian! He finished as 5th over all. I feel, he goes stronger and stronger with his old cow! Haha! I had bad luck in the finals. 1. Final a good 5th place. Second final a broken CVD-Shaft and at the last final a pop-off ball-end at my left front shock.

Sounds like you had a good meet - I'm looking for to doing the Vintage Nats as well (well, assuming my wife "lets" me go)

That track looks incredible!

Having never really run on grass, (other than some "yard testing") I wonder how it affects the car? I know for most conditions, driving on grass can draw on the motor and create drag, and i wonder what you notice when racing. Is the grass cut low like a putting green, or based on the pictures it looks a bit taller. I've always wanted to try the european style racing.

(Erich might be able to help on this, but im not aware of any "grass tracks" in the US. Most all of the tracks i have experienced have been on dirt.)

I bet it's pretty easy to traction roll on grass like that. Have you guys ever driven your cars on a putting green at a golf course? Now that's fun. I'd like to see a grass track with a surface like that.

Kinda a hijack, but still kinda on topic, this is what we're running on. This was a few months ago...its a good bit greener now. We were about to poison it, but may rethink that now.

Yes, I'm interested too. I'm guessing that the weight savings with gobs of power from the brushless motor pair up nicely?

Michael's point in using 5-cell packs is mainly because he runs TC's at times. In Germany the Touring Car modified class is run with five cells so he bolted in a slightly hotter motor to compensate.

Running on grass is quite special since it has a lot of traction when the track is fresh but it looses grip the more dirt is coming trough the grass layer. Normally the grass is cut very low but it definately is not "putting green". We had a track here in Northern Germany that used golf course grass and cut it very low but as far as I know they do not do any races anymore.

Normally we run Schumacher Stagger tyres in front and Schumacher Mini-Pin on the rear in 2WD. 4WD Schuey Mini-Pin on all corners. When the dirt comes in to play (normally from the finals on Sunday on) you can sometimes use PL Hole-Shots to help a bit with the traction but this weekend we stuck with the Schuey Mini-Pins.

As for setup Michael and I went different ways. He setup his car quite soft with a lot of ground clearance (arms above level front and rear). I used slightly harder springs (silver up front with 30wt oil and silver/green and 25wt oil at the rear) with less ground clearance (front and rear arms slightly below level). Front of the chassis was a bit higher than the rear. This helped especially in the schicane section where I managed to be quicker than the XXX's and B4's (sometimes! ).

Like Sebastian said, I am driving Touringcars sometimes with 5 cell in modified. So I have no other batteries for Off Road. I take a 5.5T BL-Motor to compensate the missing 6th cell. I have more, than enough power AND I save weight in my car.

There is absolutely no problem to install the B4-Slipper-clutch into the Stealth-gear. Super-easy! Only one point: the shaft is a bit longer, than original. So you have to drive your gear-cover without the Nut-Cap of the cover - no problem. It´s fantastic from Team Associated, that their design is an evolution and we can upgrade our cars very easy!

On the grass-track was a lot of roll-traction! You need to brake in fast corners, if you don´t want to fly away off the track! This is a good training for your brake-feeling in your finger! There are some (very) fast people they say: "If you want to drive really fast, you have to learn to brake".

And yeah, this track is something like Wimbledon! But unfortunately I am not Boris Becker. Haha!

As Michael said it is very easy to do and works perfect. After initial setup I did not had to do any adjustments.
