RC10 buggy to stadium truck questions
i was just wondering if someone could list all of the parts need to convert a rc10 buggy to a stadium truck. also, are the parts sill made or would i have to get them from ebay?
obviously the front and rear arms are needed but would the bolt up to the mounts that the buggy has? also new cvd's would be needed, but would they work with the rest of the pars on the buggy, or are a buch of new parts needed to go with the new cvd's? thanks

Re: RC10 buggy to stadium truck questions
There are "stadium truck" conversions floating around that pre-date the RC10T...or do you want to make an actual 10T?
Once your post count gets up and you have access to the BST you might post a want ad.

Re: RC10 buggy to stadium truck questions
converting my 6 gear to a truck took the nose plate, arms, mounts ,everything on the nose plate , the shocks , the rear tower, and arms and tires and rims
its not as hard as you think

Re: RC10 buggy to stadium truck questions
hello,
I guess it depends on the type of conversion. There were many ways to convert an RC10 to a truck. I'll list both options:
RC10 pre-10T truck conversion:
Wheels - 2.2 with positive offset
Tires - 2.2
Longer front shock tower
Longer front shocks
Front Body mount (bolts on the shock tower)
Rear Body mount (bolts on rear shock tower)
Body
Larger spur gear
Smaller pinion
RC-10 to 10T
Wheels - 2.2
Tires - 2.2
Longer 10T front shock tower
Longer 10T front shocks
10T Arms (f&r)
10T dog bones - universals
10T front body mount (bolts on the front bulkhead)
10T front bulkhead
10T front nose plate
10T bellcranks
10T rear shock tower
10T rear body mount (bolts on rear shock tower)
2.2 stealth trans (if you don't have one)
10T rear hubs
Longer turn buckles
Truck body
So you can see that there is a difference in the amount of parts needed. Obviously, it's cheaper to pick up a used 10T vs. buying all of the parts.

Re: RC10 buggy to stadium truck questions
thanks, for the info. a couple of you said a new nose plate. i acutally have a graphite chassis. does that mean i cant do it?
the reason i was thinking of doing this is because i got this chassis on ebay and the front is shaped slightly different than the stock chassis and the buggy cover wont fit right. i figured that making it a ST would solve that problem. there's a few pics in this link. http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=5382
