Re: Andy's conversion kit
I'll do that ASAP this week-end, you would like a top view of the rear end right?JK Racing wrote:Asso_man, can you get a shot of the tranny/rear arm alignment? In assembling mine, the dog bones are swept forward, and if I remember right, you want the swept back for best performance (mine will be a runner/racer). Your top down shot almost shows what I am talking about.

The other thread is the car I am building. If yours are inline, no need to post. Thank you though.

Re: - Andy's conversion kit -
Almost two years after I started this build, I was finally able to source an Andy's battery cup (credit to Al), steering rack (unique and fantastic concept IMO), front bumper, spindles and carriers (thanks Paul!). The only thing I would like to find would be an Andy's front graphite shock tower. I also plan to mount an A&L rear shock tower on it. Whenever I have some spare time this week I'll try to fit everything on the chassis and keep you guys posted!
The AWESOME steering rack

Mmm, that just gave me an idea for an ultra short steering rack.
Now if only I'd have some acces to CNC services and a cad program on the pc
deep bow to you david for all that patience

i have never seen an andy's graphite tower for the standard front kickup. only for the pro (narrow) kickup. they did have 2 different molded towers, though.Asso_man! wrote:The only thing I would like to find would be an Andy's front graphite shock tower.
congrats on finding your missing andy's pieces.

Re: - Andy's conversion kit -
al, that one's for the pro race (narrow) kick up. those you could get in molded as well as graphite.

Yes, I thought it didn't look right but apparently a bunch of others either didn't know or did know and had an application, just glad I held off bidding on it as I was thinking about it.

Re: - Andy's conversion kit -
the pro front shock towers have the same mounting points as a 10t or rpm worlds tower, so it'll work in a couple different applications. not on just an andy's bulkhead.
not to derail david's thread, but i used a pro graphite tower on my v-nats car, attached to an rpm worlds bulkhead.
