paints for various box art buggies?

any of ya know what kind/color of paints were used for the different box art rc10 models?
i'd need to start painting some lids, i think it'd be kinda coo to have them all be based off the color schemes and design off the boxes.

Hey now i have bought 20 old r/c 10 buggys, and most of them were painted with a brush, is that how it was back in the day to paint them ? oneye

Yes, a lot of bodies were painted with a brush back then. There wasn't nearly the selection of colors or as many lexan paint manufacturers back then.
I don't know what colors the original was painted. I did manage to find it online one time, but I have no idea where I saw it. I guess we'd have to find out what companies were making lexan paint back in 84. I want to say Pactra was, but I'm not 100%. The main body color was some kind of yellow, obviously not a bright yellow.
