I have a few of these wheels with old tires on them but was wondering what plastic they are before i put them in the acetone vapor container and have them melt into a puddle of goo.

I have put older Pro-line wheels in acetone to remove glue and paint without any issues.

Do you submerge them or suspend them above in a sealed container?

Two at a time, stacked in a glass container.

Bottom one submerged, top in vapor area. Swap every now and then.

That set of wheels was in pretty rough condition, so it took some time to get them cleaned up.

Are you saving the tires or not?

the ones i took a pic of are staying on the wheels, I have a other wheels down in the cellar that are trashed that I'm going to demount.

If you're not saving them, cut them off then soak in acetone as it's much quicker.
