In 1996 Kyosho released an upgraded version of their gas-powered Outlaw Rampage Pro 1/10 2wd off-road racing truck called the Nitro Pro ST. The new competition truck, while similar in appearance to its predecessor, is quickly identifiable by the now red anodized Duraluminum semi-tub chassis. A Kelron II plastic chassis plate with 30-degree kickup and reinforced bulkhead located stronger black composite plastic lower a-arms with steel turnbuckles retaining white composite plastic inline hubs and knuckles with 6mm axles featuring the same kingpin inclination as before. The twin bellcrank steering system with its built-in spring-loaded servo saver and ball bearing mounts remained the same as well but with steel turnbuckles. A Kelron II top plate connected the chassis, steering, and front bulkhead together for increased strength followed rearward by a matching radio plate. Long hard anodized and teflon coated oil-filled aluminum Ultimate shocks with clip in spring adjusters were placed into service at all four corners and supported by aluminum shock towers. Out back the 32-pitch pinion and spur primary drive slipper clutch equipped three gear Super Sprint Transmission with center mounted ball differential was retained but utilized a revised black composite plastic case that doubled as a rear bulkhead further reinforced with a new triangulated brace. A pair of Kelron II floating ball suspension mounting blocks retained stronger black composite plastic rear suspension arms with steel turnbuckles locating the white composite rear hubs through which steel universal axles with tapered stubs would pass. Shallow offset single piece 2.2 wheels with clear lexan dirt shields were wrapped inside 540/100/62 Pin Spike rear tires and 510/100/62 Ribbed front tires. A clear lexan stadium truck body with stronger mounts, muffler, flip top gas tank, front mini bumper, rear mounted battery tray and a full set of bearings were included with the unassembled kit, which was sold less motor and radio:
