** POS Runner of the Month - March 2025 ** Winner - ZED32 (Hornet)

Running and bashing beats up an RC and make it ugly. Lack of painting ability, horrible painting concepts, bad masking that bleeds, and crash damage makes an RC ugly. Not cleaning up after a run and not storing an RC indoors make it ugly. This contest is for the uglies. What does winning mean? Congratulations, your RC is ugly.
What does losing mean? It's still ugly, maybe even uglier than the winner. Sometimes it's hard to vote for the biggest POS.
Rules: We always need rules, even if they aren't enforceable
You have 7 days to post up photos of your entry. No need to do a placeholder. Just proudly put in your entry and let the intimidation begin.
Up to 10 entries are allowed
Up to
3 photos of an entry.
Photos are uploaded to the site not remotely hosted
Links to builds and YouTube run videos are encouraged
Run videos are YouTube links, not embedded videos that look like an extra photo
POS entry needs to be complete and runnable with electronics (battery not necessary in pics)
Open to all brands and franken-style builds
"Winning" one month does not disallow entry of a different POS from same member in another month, even if you are known as The POS King.
Past monthly "winner" not eligible for future monthly entry.
2 votes per member will be allowed. Are votes for an entry actually an insult?
Voting poll will be added on 8th of the month, or sooner if there are 10 entries before then.
Please only make contest entry posts before the poll is up. After poll has begun, other posts can be made.
Thanks for reading all this. Good luck?

You guys made me realize that your idea of a heap and mine may differ...
Kyosho Pro XRT with some Nitro Pro arms. CAM motor, Tekin Sport ESC and a FlySky AFHDS receiver cobbled to a Kyosho 432 PT. The truck is setup to run carpet.

This thing identifies as a RC10T.
It has one of the $20 Injora transmissions on a heavily "modified" A stamp chassis. The rear is filled out with ECX shafts, heavily clearanced 10T arms, and Traxxas carriers.
The front uses a 10T nose and bulkhead, Traxxas arms. The front hex setup is pieced together with B4 and Traxxas parts. The bellcranks are cobbled together with scrap parts and hardware.
Shocks are older style Traxxas plastics, with Losi springs.
It has Traxxas hex wheels and worn Monster Beetle tires.
The body is originally from my Team Truck (used). The paint was chipping off, so I removed what I could and touched up the paint with a brush.
Electronics consist of a old Futaba receiver (blown bec), beat up Duratrax esc (cracked case), $5 Amazon servo, and Redcat 550 motor.
You can click on pics for better resolution. But I won't be held responsible for cracked screens.

This is "Hotmess". My junker hornet.
The electronics are spares that I had from rebuilding other cars. The esc from my old stampede is on deaths door and has no reverse. It has an ampro locking battery door and ampro shock mount. The shock mount cracked last winter and is now held together with hopes, dreams, and 3 zip ties.
This is one of my favorite photos of the Hotmess Hornet. It used to have a wing that was definitely not a takeout food lid painted black.

This is "Microphone Fast Car". Or at least that's what the body says on it in a language I can't read.
I wanted a runner I could beat on a bit and not feel bad about it. This buggy is going to fit that want.

Here is my "ugly runner"....It started as an Associated T3 stadium truck. The chassis, rear shock tower, bumper and braces are all G-10 fiberglass, hand-cut on a scroll saw...Dimensions have been stretched to short course specs. The bulkhead is actually a servo mount from Exotek, and steering gear is from JConcepts. The front caster blocks and axles are modified Traxxas parts, to run hex SC wheels. The tires and wheels are Amazon generics...The ESC is a bargain-basement "Hobby King", and the motor is a 5400Kv Amazon special...The body is an Odd Design Camaro, that had been flipped and slid down the street a few too many times. It's hand-built, but will run 45MPH on a 2s as it sits.

Behold a build most Grotesque.
https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?p=581151#p581151
The more you look at it the worst it gets. most of the parts are bent and tweaked. Rusty and/or stripped hardware. Hinge pins replaced with screws in some places. An inDIFFerential, that's just locked up. Butchered chassis with nonsensical small holes drilled all over it. The speed control barely has brakes, but who needs those. Almost every 8-32 hole is stripped to the point I think it's mostly held together with CA. Front steering belongs to an LXT and not a buggy, so it can overcenter, which is fun.
It does run, somehow.

Tamiya super blackfoot, nick-named: Junkyard Dog. Had this baby since it was new in the box. Its been through hell and back, and then through hell again. Every thing is original except for the random assortment of screws used for repairs. The body has been repaired so many times it's worthy of the name franken-truck! At one point I think it even ate a tamiya lunch box. Custom body posts, naturally vented tires, scrap metal reinforced broken front tower, and I believe its on it's fourth silver can. Its got a good 'ole novak rooster and og basic magnum sport radio. Best thing of all is the sound it makes going down the road when the vented tires do their thing.......
My third pic is a collage, if its not allowed, let me know, I'll change it.

Ready to upload new pics with some blah blah.
But it's not very spectacular. So I want to resign of entering if an 11th entry want to come in.
After 3 days of no one coming in, i'm getting out now. As announced, not worth a 3rd photo and not as bad as my january build of the month, but feel invited to vote for the wonderful dirt coating on the gearbox housing.
Update 07.03.2025:
I was wrong, there has to be a third picture. With best recommendation: Lost your wheel bearing? Simply replace it with 6 washers and you won't have to worry about them for the next 20 years.

Reminder, no need to wait to post up your POS. Add your pics when ready (up to 3, collages are allowed). If 2 more people want in this month, there's a couple of spots. Waiting for next month to enter is fine too. Entry rules are firm but flexible?

I need to put my wreck back together for this, maybe it'll be ready by the weekend if I can find most of the mission critical parts.
