Hey all,
I recall hearing that the Early and mid-edingers had milled vs stamped front and rear shock towers.

How can I tell the difference? Is there a certain trait I should look for on pictures that makes it easier to spot?

I don't think fiberglass shock towers can be stamped. Stamping would cause cracks.

This may be straight out due to my own misinterpretation of early edinger parts.
What are the differences between early and mid/late edinger fiberglass parts?

I think there is a difference in number of shock mount holes, but I would have to refer to the 25 years of RC10 writeup.

I dont have any to show but the milled are a smooth edge and the "stamped" have a rough furry edge. I dont know the process on those, and I doubt they are truly stamped but thats how ive always heard them referred to. They do not look like a machined edge.

It's pretty hard for me to tell the difference. Even looking at the thread. it mentions that they are thicker? does anyone have a measurement?

they are punched in a die set, and the edges will be somewhat rounded. they will seem kinda......furry. the color will be lighter, whitish.

the machined edge will be nice and crisp and the edges will be pretty much same color as the base material. In the image below of two very dirty towers, the left is punched, the right is machined. you can see the machine marks in the right part.

Most likely the early ones were cut by hand using a pin router, no cnc back then. Once you start getting big orders you have the money to pay for a set of stamp dies so you can then just punch them out in a fraction of the time.
