Hi there,
I recently bought a Stadium Baja Beetle which seems to be an Outrage St.
It was probably run just once or twice. Servo saver is broken, the resistor is completely shot and the shocks leaked most of their oil. Appart from that it is in great condition.
Took it apart, cleaned off all the shock oil and want to put it back together soon.
So, currently I am working on two topics.

1. Front shock tower SM-33
It uses long shocks front and rear. Regular Outrage front shock tower for comparison. Over the years the front shock tower must have bent under the spring load. I feel buying a new one will result in the same result down the line. Is there a a stiffer version of this part?
The short shock tower can be replaced by a carbon one for the Ultima. (Tie rods wont fit but that's a diffrent story...)

2. Shocks
They are of course plastic as well.
Is it possible to stop them from leaking using different O rings? If so, which will fit? The shaft diameter is 3 mm.
Also there was a brass spacer in them to reduce the overall length. Don't know if they belong in there since I do not have the manual.

Rebuilt these (leaking) shox as well.. the red Tamiya silicon o-rings work perfect as substitute. Try 27,5wt oil in front and rear.

Okay, the Tamiya O rings appear to be working nicely. However, one of the shocks is leaking from the top cap. Sanding the top of the main body in a circular motion worked for one shock. For some reason it wont work for the last one. Maybe the seal is bad. Any ideas?

As for the shock tower, I started to model it in FreeCAD and will look for a Vendor to make it from Aluminium sheet material. What thickness should I go for? 2.5 mm?

Factory Works (member GoMachV) could make your shock tower in fiberglass or carbon fiber. He's done excellent custom parts for most of my projects.

I actually found the long tower on the website. Not sure about the geometry though...

I alos made progress on the shocks. It appears that the top caps were the culprits. Their inner height varies by a lot. Looks like the intended height is 10 mm. The leaky ones were above 10.5 mm. Meaning the cap makes contact with the shock body before it can apply enough pressure on the seal.
Cycling through parts now until I hit a good pairing.
