Adding to my collection of broken novak controllers

I already have 3 different broken novak 4's that I can't seem to fix . So I decided to add one more .
This appears to be a beat up Novak no number 3 wire esc.
Does anyone have information on this?
It looks like a 1x But also does not. There is the 3rd pot I don't see on the 1x,1,2,4. There is also the FET where a number would be.

Is this like a 1x?
Did it just run hotter motors?

It's the Novak 2. Glad it went to a good home.
.
.
It looks like it's better spec than a 4 but not as good as a 1 or 1x, but has the size of a 1x. Not sure what market Novak was targeting with the 2.

It's a hard one to figure out and that may be why this is a rare find. It wasn't wanted.
Looks like it should be a 1x but populated with buz10 fets vs a buz11 fets, but it has a unique case plastic and likely a different board layout for the extra fet and pot. It must have cost as much a a new completely new model to make.
I'll have to see if it's a through hole design like the 1,1x and 4 or a surface mount like the t1 ,t1x and t4.
were you the seller on this?

No, I wasn't the seller but I was almost the buyer. I spent a few too many 'think about it' minutes because of the condition.

Most of my older speed controls are pretty terrible

And when a 1060 is only $15-20 it's a no-brainer that vintage escs are for shelf duty only.

If it sits in a box for more than a month without getting worked on I'll let it go for what it cost me. With how I collect these things you'd think I'd have made at least one of them work.

Run times are amazing, though!
I didn't know those existed.

Showed up today. Started cleaning it up.
The identity plate is in worse shape than I thought.
Itβs absolutely a nesc2 as identified by the circuit board. I see a buzz71 fet on the brake position.
