Noticed something interesting .. wondering if it is a mistake because a web developer pasted the requirements from another car.

No.37035 LE MANS 480GOLD Brushless Motor 21.5T / No.37051B LE MANS 240S ESC

The ESC they recommend has a limit of 13.5T, but they are recommending a motor with 21.5T.

The limit for ESC is the lower number of Turns of the motor, indeed 21.5T is more than 13.5T so it is fine with this ESC.
When you look at a motor, the amp rating decrease while the number of turns increase.
13.5T motors are generally 50A rated. The Kyosho Le Mans ESC is delivering 60A. Any brushless motor with an higher number of turns than 13.5T would consume less than 50A.

Woah woah woah stop the clock .. at risk of demonstrating a comical level of ignorance about modern electronics ... you're saying that 13.5T is the lower limit. Correct me if I'm wrong, or clown me either way, but didn't it used to be the other way around back in the golden age of brushed motors & Novak ESCs?

lower turn brushed motors as well as lower turn brushless motors are harder on speed controls- drawing more current. Thus an old brushed esc might have had a 13t motor limit- so anything higher turn is ok. A modern brushless with a 13.5t limit would be ok with anything higher.

Perhaps you were thinking of KV which is used on sensorless brushless motors to show the relationship of rpm per volt. That number will go up for more current draw, a 2900kv draws significantly less power than a 5900kv.
