I'm looking to assemble a 6037 worlds car.
looking at the manual Dogbones are installed with the 1/4" stubs.
On the 25 years of rc10 thread the 1/4" universal shafts are used

Was the kit ever shipped with dogbones?

6037 only came with the 1/4" universals, no dogbones axles.

No, always universals. The manual pics show a rc10t rear carrier and 1/4" stub axle and then a rc10 stub axle and carrier but they did try to crop one of the pics a little lol. Not sure why they didn't just take new pics but no, they never came with dog bones.

I'm pretty sure there was a supplement for the universals that showed installing the shims as well.

Edit, there was. And it showed bushings  🤦‍♂️

It's the pictured Attached here that made me ask. This is clearly the stub axle

Did this kit have PTFE shielded bearing throughout, or only on the diff outdrive bearings?

Part 6903 is listed as a ptfe 3/8x5/8
Part 6906 is listed as ptfe 3/16x3/8 on the website

on the parts catalog part 6903 is only listed as 3/8 X 3/16" BALL BEARING, unflanged

The manual references part 6903 as part of the stealth build. The change from a metal shielded bearing to a PTFE shielded one a running change? Did it happen for the RC10 or was this a B4 era change?

From my experience, the 6903 5/8" bearing always had the ptfe seal since the original stealth trans came out. The 6906 were all metal shielded up to and including the t2/b2. Then the running changed happened for first run b3/t3 were they were all ptfe sealed. When associated released the FT b3/t3 kits in 1999, they went to all rubber sealed bearings for the team kits and all ptfe for the factory team and same with the b4/t4 after.
