Team Losi JRxT

Post by Dangeruss »

In 1989, just one year after the release of their first vehicle, the JRx2, Team Losi introduced a 1/10 2wd electric truck they named the JRxT. Before they became Stadium Trucks they were called Monster Trucks and racing versions were built using conversion kits that adapted 2wd off-road buggies to fit the growing class. Team Losi changed that with the JRxT by offering an out of the box Racing Monster Truck. Essentially a JRx2 with a factory-built conversion kit the JRxT shared the same lightweight composite plastic construction with identical part numbers for the lower a-arm/turnbuckle adjustable camber link independent front suspension, turnbuckle equipped bellcrank steering, 5 link independent rear suspension, anodized aluminum oil-filled coilover shocks with adjustable collars and graphite plate shock towers. Even the 2.18, ball-diff, self-lubricating, 48 pitch transmission with aluminum motor mount and universal joint driveshafts was carried over unchanged. From there the JRxT specific parts improved upon the buggy platform for better truck performance and included a 5/8's inch longer graphite plate chassis with molded in 30-degree kickup, Truck specific deep dish 3-piece wheels with Ribbed front and Spiked rear tires that widened the stance by a whopping 2-3/8 inches and a new body mounting system to hold the clear lexan racing truck body in place. The JRxT was sold only as an unassembled kit with full bearings and no radio or electronics:
