In 2000 Team Associated redesigned their RC10GT and introduced the RC10GT RTR. The previous generation RC10GT was the last Associated product to feature an aluminum tub, with the redesigned GT receiving a new blue anodized plate style chassis. Suspension and steering components were from the T2 and pickup points remained the same as did the black fiberglass shock towers. Blue anodized nose tubes on plastic standoffs as well as a cast motor mount in the rear served to stiffen the chassis. The RTR featured an Associated branded .15 engine made by Thunder Tiger connected to a Stealth transmission with dogbone axles. Electronics were supplied by HiTec, with a Lynx radio and HS303 servos. Blue anodized shocks with preload spacers, bushing, 2.2 wheels with Proline tires and new prepainted Proline body rounded the truck out. The new GT could also be had in a Team Built version less engine and electronics, an unassembled Team version with PTFE shocks, MIP CVD's, bearings and unpainted body less motor/electronics, and a Factory Team version with graphite shock towers, titanium turnbuckles, MIP CVD's, blue anodized screws/manifold/tuned pipe, bearings and unpainted body less motor/electronics:
