Thank goodness! Like I said to Don Natale when I sent an email asking about this. People are going to run these rere kits and they are going to break stuff and they are going to need replacement parts!

Re: Looks like AE is going to actually have vintage parts support
I guess we'll need to wait to see what parts they will offer.
I have mixed feelings about this. Competition is good for consumers and we need AE back in the game but the market for vintage RC10 parts is relatively miniscule and I wonder if there's room for two. I worry about companies like FanRC who have large investments in tooling to make parts to fill the void left when AE dropped parts support some years ago. If AE offers parts again, even for a year or two, it could drive these companies out of business and we're back to where we were just a couple years ago - at the mercy of ebay scalpers.
Those of us who enjoy building and running our vintage RC10's want a steady flow of parts and unlike FanRC, I can't trust AE to provide what I need when I need it.

I need to stock up on some 6 gear parts. Mainly idle gears, thrust bearings, and teflon bushings. Other than 3D printed gears, nobody makes these.
Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.

What if they made these again (hint hint AE)? What other things besides the obvious long front arms would help people who want to race vintage class get/stay on the track?
I have a Novak problem....

Whatever they do, the internet and FB crowd will not be happy about it so I hope they ignore it and run their business. That will increase the chances of longer term support.

Nice to see they brought back the 25° blocks. Also, they brought back the cva set from the 2014 worlds car just a few days ago. The bones might still be too short still like they were in 2014, but I'm glad since I use those axles on everything up to the B4/T4

Maybe I just got lucky with those. I ran a ton of laps on carpet back around 2017 with a Worlds Car rere and never had an issue with those. Visually I might have looked and said they seem a bit too short but they never failed or popped out.

Re: Looks like AE is going to actually have vintage parts support
My bad, they worked fine with the stock 2014 worlds kit settings, but that was it. The drive pins were very close to the edge of the outdrives and trying to increase rear droop or space them slightly further out on the hubs and they would pop out. Worst case was you ended up with a chipped outdrive for being a rebel. We ended up sourcing the slightly longer center driveshaft from the b44.2 while they were available and that allowed more room for setup changes. FanRC addressed this as well with their 1.5 longer cva driveshaft set.

Yeah I recall all that as well. I think I ended up using B2/3 ones as well. I never increased droop on that car so I could see that for sure.
I wonder relative the universal driveshafts now on the Team Car which I would choose today, theoretically I suspect the CVD is "better" but for looks I'd go Universals.

having the ability to set more rear droop without the cvd flopping out is definitely welcome with today's higher grip tracks.

Liquid Rc on eBay has em. I've seen a couple people order em.
It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas
