1996 brought to market the Schumacher Scale Tourer... SST 2000. Utilizing the Cat 2000 drivetrain in a 4wd 1/10 double deck touring car chassis the SST 2000 would see yearly updates to improve handling. First in 1997 with the SST 2000 SP which replaced the transverse stick battery mount with saddle packs. Then in 1998 with the SST 2000 98 Spec which featured saddle packs mounted entirely on the right side of the chassis. All three iterations were fully assembled, less radio gear.
