I typically buy Custom Works ball studs from Amain.

Yes.

If you have some plastics with stripped holes or just want a slightly larger M3 thread, Schumacher has several options as well.

Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.

Just a heads up, I'm sure we all have older RPM and Lunsford ball cups rattling around somewhere. For 4.3mm ball studs there are the 3racing brand ones, some HPI ones, but with Lunsford shuttering ops....anyway I stumbled across some 4.3mm with M3...

I have bought Schumacher ball studs from different series, all fit my Associated, RPM, and Custom Works cups fine.

I don't know of anyone offering a female threaded version in 4.3mm right now.

Tamiya has a 5mm female that works nicely with 4.8mm...

I have cracked several 3/8 ball studs on a few of my Losi's and I am wondering if anybody can recommend an upgrade over the Losi replacement.

Lunsford makes titanium ones... Have they broken in the same location on the car? At the price, I wouldn't want to replace all 16 .... LNS7109 is the 3/8 length.

Today I was out playing around when I had a bit of a wreck and broke a ball stud off.

It sheered the threaded part off inside the camber link on the front of my buggy. Is there anyway to get the rest of that threaded bit out of there? At least one...

Great tip Reg! Also, if you make the hole a little larger just use some CA glue on the threads when you go to install the new ballstud.

Talked to Lunsford about ordering some punisher turnbuckles and they were able to put a kit together for me. I'd like to order some all new ball studs as well. Just not sure on sizes and quantities for those. Anyone know for sure?

Hi,

One # 6270 for the servo arm.

I use 2 x #6270 in the rear shock tower, if you look in the manual, page 24, figure 79, the longer # 6273

ball stud threads stick out, whereas if you use # 6270 ball studs they are flush.

Im wanting to improve my steering with a Jconcepts bell crank upgrade, im assuming the 4-40 ball studs will work, is that correct? do i need any special lengths for them or for the servo to...

I've ordered some Tamiya 4mm ball cups.

I plan on reaming the sleeves to accept 4-40 threads. But I still need to source some ball studs that have a 3mm threaded portion. I think a 4-40 threaded portion would...

The ones on my Losi Mini JRX2 measured 3.9mm. The thread looked like M2.5 (maybe 2.6). If used with a helicoil, they'd probably work.

Does anyone know where to find some 3mm ready rod to make some custom length turnbuckles for a Tamiya project I'm working on?

I've got some 4-40 ready rod, but the ball joints and ends in the kit accept 3mm turnbuckles.
