New guy here from Socal….
Been into RC since I watched them running across the street from my aunt Bertha’s apartment in Costa Mesa CA getting yelled at for standing on the heater to see out the window to watch them… hahaha
Used to practice at RCHR back in the day with my first legit RC(the Hornet doesn’t count but where/what I started with), a JRXT I swapped a stealth trans into with all the RR white arms…wish I still had that truck… replaced that truck with a RC10T shortly after, I’d say 92-93ish. Got out of the hobby after highschool, got back into it with some Ofna nitro a bit later then out and back at it again now for several years playing with 1/8 buggys..
Anyway, I joined because I found a smoking deal $50 on an old broken original Team RC10T and some parts on OfferUp I couldn’t pass up and was lucky to get them….
I remember drooling over the RCCA article of Cliff Letts winning Team Moo RC10T for many, MANY months as a kid… So, I’m in the middle of a retro Cliff Lett RC10T runner build
I’ll post a build thread at some point..
I hope to eventually run ina vintage class at a local track here in SoCal and was looking for info and boy did I find it here!! Thank you all!
