RC10T2 Ebay score

Hi friends! Quick poll, who has had a few beers and went surfing around on Ebay only to (sorta) regret it the next day?

[Raises hand with a sheepish look on his face]

Apparently, I am the new owner of this RC10T2.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/266210960819?nma=true&si=V2VtT%252B2oEqPoq1U32oe6RxW9siI%253D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557.

Had no intention of actually winning it but I feel like I got a good enough deal that I'm not totally kicking myself. Same brushless system that I just put in my Team Car. Whatever, it'll be a fun truck. Might be swapping on the tires for something a little less racer-ish. I gotta get my buggy buttoned up (body painted and trimmed) before I fool with it. Looks like it's got very few miles on it, not much in the way of wear on the chassis underside.

It's a good looking T2. No reason for regrets that I can see. Congrats on the addition!

Thanks! I may be reaching the "too many R/Cs" threshold....

I'm currently at 42, you're probably safe.

Speaking of, I need more shelves.

Surpassed 100 a long while back then stopped counting - adding about 10 per year. Storage and display space is a real problem here.
There are some who have many many more.

Currently struggling on the display space as well. I think I'm gonna do my plank system again, it will still yeild the most density, allow easy access, and keep the tires mid air. When you get over 100 display become a real issue because 1) it's a lot of cars and 2) you realize you have a problem and that number will only continue to grow 😂

Wow! I'm no where even close to that but I should have phrased that differently...that "too many R/C's" threshold unfortunately may get some input from the wife.

Well over 100, you guys are nuts!

Would hanging them on the wall, say with nails or screws, by the rear arms be frowned upon. Seems that might look nice and keep weight off the tires and be inexpensive since each car would only need like 2 screws and 2 anchors.

Seen that done and works well, just try to keep the tires away from the wall a tiny bit. If you want something more permanent the plank system I use works sideways too- basically like how shoes are displayed. Instead of long planks just make short ones.

This is my old plank system for example. Just 3/4" spaced slats and 3/4" planks inserted

I like your plank system.
While finding space is a problem, I wouldn't describe what I have as a problem. I'm a collector and we tend to have a lot of a certain thing. There are no plans to stop collecting (as long as I'm still breathing) and I do want to find more efficient ways to display the collection. Vehicles are frequently rotated between storage and display which means that most of them are in boxes in attic spaces on any given day.

Thanks for winning that. I really didn't need a third.

I'm somewhere around 10. But if basket cases don't count, then it's more like 5. Total lightweight!

No way?!?! Were you the other bidder?? I put a bid on it before I went to bed last night thinking I'd surely be outbid before it ended some 13ish hours later. I am psyched to own it so, it's going to a good home.
