Early threaded losi/AE collar question

Are the diameters and thread pitch different between early Associated and Losi shock collars? I have never owned a Associated with threaded shocks

Not sure I'd call the threaded shock bodies "early" but I measured my T3 & XXT, both shock bodies (NOT threaded) are about 1/2" outside diameter.
