I was snooping around looking for pics and more info on the 1992 Reedy Race, specifically Rick Vehlow's Traxxas "TRX-1". Every once in awhile someone will ask about the TRX-2. There never was a TRX-2. But after coming across this photo contained in a scanned article on the Reedy Race site (Cull, Roger; "Reedy, Steady, Go!", Radio Control Model Cars, Sepember 1992.)

It is quite clear that this is the "TRX-2" (obviously it is a TRX-3 prototype with TRX-1 parts) but wow what a neat buggy!

Some interesting stuff there! I haven't been through it all yet.

This bodyshell on Rick's buggy appears to be different to the standard shell, more arrowhead in shape?

Yeah, I hadn't noticed the body difference. That thing looks way better than the kit. Both TRX-1 and TRX-3. And I also had no idea that Furatani went to the darkside for a minute.
