Brushless Motor Fit

I have an RC10L3O, and I updated it to be brushless. The motor does not fit? Has anyone run into this? I placed some blocks on the top portion of the pod. I analyzed it, and the motor is just larger than the pod. Did anyone else run into this, and how did they resolve it? I am not sure how the rise of the pod brace will affect the suspension.

So the issue is the wire terminals? All of the brushless motors I have are made with multiple hole options for mounting the motor. I definitely wouldn't run it with a terminal in contact with the carbon fiber plate. That's a short circuit just waiting to happen.
This is a brushless in an RC12L pod with the terminals pointing forward.

On my 10L, I had to cut some of the side bulkhead and make a new top bracket. Your later model looks like they made design changes so you shouldn't need to do this. You should be able to rotate your motor to about the same position as mine and it should clear. Of course I now jinxed it by saying "should."

I will try and rotate it tonight and post an update.

I think I got it figured out. Had to rotate and change direction of the wires. Thanks for the suggestion.
