An Official Welcome To The Evicted Clodtalk.com Crowd

Not sure how many rc10talk.com regulars happen to stop by [ex] sister site clodtalk.com, but just a heads up, clodtalk.com is closing down. Like, in 48 hours, it won't exist and all will be wiped out. So, those in the corner offices have created a forum here just for the Clod crowd. I kinda think this is cool because not too many specific models, outside of I don't know, RC-10s, have a forum devoted just to them. And perfect timing, just 2 weeks or so after I finish my first Clod build. I personally spent quite a bit of time on ClodTalk for research, although never posting. I know a couple others here were also active there.
So, a toast to those CT peeps that now find themselves diving into the RC10talk forum world!

Please feel free to post away! Many followers are here and want to see your rigs and discuss monster trucks!

There are more members here from CT than you might think. Many have been members for 10 plus years.
That truck looks great. Great body on it.

Actually, in 23 hours from the time of this post. That's US eastern standard time.
Don't think of it as closing so much as moving to here. Just without any of the content... or member database...

I'm a member of Clod Talk but not very often there, welcome to any new crossover members.

Sad it's happened this way.

Don't be too sad as it's been hardly used for at least a decade, and doesn't hold much in the way of archival significance. The majority of the pics and links no longer work either. It's a bit of a wasteland. It has to die so that RC10Talk can continue to live on as it will free up some necessary server resources. For example, you guys and gals have uploaded over
104,000 attachments to date.

Sad to see it go also. Clodtalk has come up in many google searches I've done over the years. Too bad there's no way to keep it available even as a static archive.

Well that was a marathon. I just spent 6 hours closing ClodTalk without taking a break.
But it's done... Now to redirect the domain name to here.

Wonderful, that took another 2 hours to figure out how to get the 18 years of ClodTalk backlinks spread throughout the net redirected to here.

I was a member of ClodTalk for at least 15 years or more, maybe even closer to 20 yrs. I was one of the few who were still active over there. I was actually more active over there than I am here, mainly because I'm mostly a monster truck guy so my interests fit that place better. It's certainly understandable though why it had to be ended. Outside of myself, there were only a few others that still posted over there. You just can't keep a site like that running for a couple of people that's for sure.
Hopefully some of the old ClodTalk guys get a bit more active here, that would be nice. Not that I don't enjoy the vintage RC stuff, because I do, but it would be nice to get some more monster truck activity going here for those of us that are into that scene.
