Tires for narrow JC Racing wheels

I had mistakenly ordered several set of the narrow JC Racing front JRX-2 wheels and I am finding it difficult get get a set of ribbed tires to mount correctly on them. At least the HB ribbed tires I purchased. Is there a set of narrow ribbed tires that work better on these wheels? I see on their site now it says narrow for carpet and wide for dirt, unfortunately that note wasn't there when I bought these a while back.

If you are set on ribs, you might be able to stretch a vintage tire on.

Otherwise, Proline and JConcepts have some narrow tires.


I've heard that some people have cut down the inserts of a standard tire, and that allowed them to be mounted on the narrow wheel.
