Scratch building an RC stock car

I thought I would share a scratch build I am working on. RC Stock cars here in NZ are a full contact class based on the full size dirt oval stock cars (nothing like stock cars in the US!)

There are some pretty good videos on YouTube showing this racing. Most run a modified Tamiya TT01 with aluminium hop up arms etc and a scratch built steel frame. Motors are 23T brushed modified like Tamiya RZ or 17.5T brushless with fixed timing esc

I’ve decided to build an all alloy car very loosely based on a custom works dominator. I have gone with a Reedy Sonic 17.5T FT motor and a Hobbywing Just Stock esc

As a stock car that's going to be virtually indestructible !

I really admire your fabrication and machining skills - the car looks great so far. 8)

However, I pity the fence post, tree, wall or track marshal that gets in your way.
