Any Hobby shops in walnut creek/concord CA area

Post by JosephS »

Hey all,
I am on a small trip and passing through Walnut Creek/ Concord CA (towards Diablo valley)
Does anyone know if good RC shops around here that might have older associated parts?

Thanks

It looks like Delta RC in antioch id the only shop neat by and they don't have a lot of vintage on the shelf.

Walnut creek is a cool area. My wife's aunt and uncle live there.

Delta RC is a cool facility, used to race there a bit back in the day. Not sure what it's like now but they didn't have a huge selection of parts then, just a mobile office converted into a small shop. Great atmosphere though.
I was old school - when old school wasn't cool !

The shop is pretty sizeable now, but it's all modern parts. Seemed good if that's what I was looking for.

Didn't have time and I don't have any cars with me. I might be back this way in a year

So I did go back to peak at the drift track. It looked quite cool. I could see picking up a car if I lived near by.

But they are a bit odd. I stopped by Wednesday and picked a bunch of old associated parts off the wall. They tell me about a Black Friday sale and I ask to get the discount then. They wouldn’t, but they held all of the parts for me behind the counter…?! So I just came back on Friday picked up the parts and left.

Staff seemed nice enough, but it’s just kinda odd when managers are that inflexible.

Still I picked up some fasteners and bits at the original price -15%
