RC10 2.0" front wheel options for TQ70 tires

I recently got my hands on some TQ70 front tires, and am having a difficult time finding wheels for these as they are 2.0". The two sets of wheels i have for my RC10's are 2.1".

I would really like to get some 3 piece wheels for these. Does these exist?

I've come across a few 2.0" wheels so far, all 1 piece.

Proline 2557 - seems like they a good match, but 1 piece.
Kyosho 2549 - 1 piece and for AWD - maybe adapters could be made
Associated 6845 - there's an add on ebay saying they are 2.0", but another add on ebay (with original packaging) states they are 2.125". Seems like Associated keeps the same part numbers but will change parts, so maybe?
Imex 7008 - not sure how well these will work.
Imex 8574 - for kyosho - would need adaptors

Anyone know of other rims I could look into?

Appreciate the help!

The tq70 rires use the 2.1 wheels.

Maybe i'm doing it wrong, but a 2" wheel would seem to work best. The TQ20's fit nice on my rear rims, and both the rims and tires are measuring 2". The TQ 20's I have are the same diamater as the TQ70's. Attached are some pictures. It would be quite a stretch to get them on there. Doesn't seem right to me. Are those measurements lining up with what you've experienced?

I have TQ-72's on a a set of the CE wheels. You want them to fit snug. You have to lightly stretch the tire onto the wheel edge, then they fit nicely once everything is assembled.

Also keep in mind that the three piece CE wheels rely on compression and friction fit to hold the tires, not glue. They need to be a little tight.

I was going to say as well if they are the hard compound tire and not the medium or soft they are very hard to get on the tire.

Here’s a article on the wheels from September 90’ RCCA.
States they are 2.0” wheels.

I'm still 99% positive those fronts are 2.1 though and the rears are 2.0

I’m with you on that, I’ve got black 3 piece wheels still nip. I’m going to check them.

I do believe that the tq70's are a 2.0 tire. AE used to have a 2.0 front wheel that looked like the 2.1 TQ wheel. Don't recall the part number.

So your saying there we’re both sizes in one piece fronts and 3 piece ?

Yep these are 2-1/8 fronts.
Great now I’m going to be popping off all my unglued front tires to measure the wheels

Thanks for the feedback and information guys. The tires I have are a hard compound and they really don't want to go on these 2.1" rims. It might be possible, but i'm not going to push it.

Mark, I would be very interested to know what size your front tires are in the picture you posted. Nice wheels btw!

I sent an inquiry about these to AE. Not expecting to hear back, but will be sure to post any information if they provide it.

I've got a new idea, however. I might use a rear outside dish, and make a custom inside plate for it. The offset will be a little off, but it will certainly look aggressive and give me the 3 piece look to match the backs.

I'm still open to suggestions for other 2.0" front rims
