This will be my first of hopefully many chronicled clean up rebuilds. Out of all the different versions of RC10 I’m lucky enough to own this is the one I’m most excited about.

I’ve managed to gather up some of the parts I knew it needed before heading into tear down.

One of the universals is missing, was able to pick up a very nice used pair.
I purchased a full set of T2 shocks that will give up their caps and all their nylon parts.
I really like the look of the late all black parts cars and since there would only be a couple more pieces that would be needed I went ahead and purchased those as well.

Ok it’s time to start the disassembly. Hopefully there won’t be too many surprises along the way 8)

Yes, that chassis appeared in a late run off Graphite Team Car kits.
Not too many around

And that’s exactly why I didn’t sleep on it when it popped up.
Been waiting for the chance to get one for what seems like forever. 8)

Anyone know this front tower ?
Looks a lot like a AE Worlds but with cutouts.
Also it’s core looks to be white glass.

Thats really cool. I wonder how well it can compete against the newer cars.

With equal drivers, they don't. Even in heavily modified form, they are at a huge disadvantage. Let's face it, 30+ years is a lot of technology to overcome.

I compare these to a classic muscle car. They might get driven around a little and show up to a vintage event, but they usually just sit around and look pretty.
