Birthday RC10

Wife bought me this A stamp for my birthday.
Not totally pristine but looks to be fairly period correct and complete. Very few signs of wear other than a few belly scratches and tire wear.
Pretty sure it's a Cadillac.
Completely disassembled and every nut, bolt, washer, clip, hinge pin, bearing, piece of nylon etc. cleaned, polished and oiled/protected.
Futaba ESC is kind of different as it mounts much like a servo.

And it arrived in it's birthday suit, naked!
Congrats on the birthday and the RC10. So, did she pick it out and purchase it by herself?

I've been working on that.
I might try the Jconcepts Protector body. Started to trim one using this chassis but everything else on the car is pretty original so I may want a Protech.

Thanks, and she did pick it out and purchase it all by herself.
She is getting a pretty good eye for the vintage RC cars after having to put up with me for 30 years!

She's better at picking cars than I am.

Gotta say this Jconcepts body seems to fit like a glove!
No thin spots either.
Not fully trimmed yet but 90% of the way there.

Nice.
I have that same esc in one of my Stadium Blitzers, mounted in the original msc servo location.
Someone had previously drilled my gold pan for an in-line battery, so I decided to keep it that way to cover the holes. Since mine isn't original, I took the liberty to make a few other changes as well.

Very nice indeed!
Happy birthday Chuck. Now the wife can tell everyone she bought you a Cadillac.
Anyway, it's going to look great with that new JConcepts body.
I recall having one of those funky Futaba ESC's many years ago. Not sure what happened to it but probably got traded somewhere along the way.

I agree. The fit of the JConcepts body is 10X better than the reproduction Protech 1 that I just did.
