Works 91 completion

Hi all,

I'm awaiting a car I've sourced from ebay, so scratch my YZ-10 itch. I believe it's a works '91, and I've managed to dig up a manual, and think I've sourced a rear drive belt for it.
Would anyone be able to help with the lengths of the upper arms and tie-rods, as I'd like to replace the black steel items (non-standard?) with titanium turnbuckles. Unless I've missed it, the manual doesn't specify the lengths.

Cheers,
Simon.

Plus any advice would be great from any Works '91 runners, it's my first Yoko, and this is with the 'prolematic'? 2mm belts.
My first RC was a Schumacher back in the day, now broadened in Tamiya for the kids/fun, getting to grips with some Associated runners for the first time as well.

I ran a Works 91 bitd for many years with decent success. I still have the car. We used an RPM rear bulkhead/gearbox housing which with the eccentric fittings allows for subtle rear belt tension adjustment. As such I never had any issues with the fine pitch belts.

Front nylon MMS bulkhead is also a nice option if you can source one, though not essential. Same goes for the MMS finned motor mount/heatsink, although both of these MMS items are extremely tough to locate.

Great cars, very very capable.

Thanks very much, I have a bit of a learning curve with this one.
I'm not sure it's left its previous country yet, so I'm a good few weeks off before I get cracking on it.

A few non-standard bits I think. Looks like nylon bulkheads. If anyone spots anything that's not Works '91, please let me know.
Looks reasonably clean, so a brief tidy up, fit it out and see how she runs.

Not a lot of factory parts left…..
The chassis, top plate, shock towers and battery straps are all aftermarket, as also the steering rack and the motor mount. The nylon bulkheads as you pointed out are YR-4

Hey, congrats on the pickup, 91’ is a personal favorite of mine, iconic car. Don’t be disheartened by the aftermarket parts, the shocks, arms, turnbuckles, ball cups, diff caps, diffs, belts etc etc appear original or at minimum period/car correct. The bulkheads are nylon but the alloy versions aren’t impossible to find as is the motor mount.

The body is a 95’ but again, fairly easy to find a repo body these days and the blue alloy motor mount some use in the 93-95 versions as a replacement and I am pretty sure they are fairly sought after (heck I am sure someone would trade an original for it).

IMO the hardest ‘original’ part to get your hands on is the top chassis deck/brace (I honestly think someone is hoarding them lol) but a close second are good condition shocks which you already have. Looking forward to watching your build.
