Piecing together CVD's for the 10t

Hey all as part of my VanAir build I am working on getting things as correct as I can.

What MIP bones are the same length as the as what is needed for the 10T? Did the t2/t3/GT have MIP bones of the correct length?

The original car had a MIP® #1301 Aluminum CVD Kit and used #9608B wheel spacers.

I am not sure that I can source, or afford, that part exactly, but I would still like MIP CVD's

To start off I got a MIP axles and rebuild kit parts off of custom works https://www.customworksrc.com/product/mip-cvd-axle/. AFAIK this should fit the rear hubs and give me a 3/16 axle. I am hoping I can find the length right bones and maybe replace them with the aluminum ones if I can find a set that's reasonable.

It look like to complete this I will need a replacement of the #9608B wheel spacer. Does anyone know of a direct replacement? Is it just a washer? If I was going to run clamping hex would I still need the adapter?

the parts are out there, but you will pay a premium as far as mip bones. just have to keep your eyes peeled on ebay and the like.

as for the spacers, they are hard to find I believe, but if you talk to Jeff at Factory Works (GomachV), I think he offers something that is similar and would work for you.

If using 12mm adapters the wheel spacers wouldn’t help him

Yeah, but if he needs the washers, you have a solution. I glossed over the hex part.

Jeff sell these as a replacement for the 9608, for axle mounted wheels.

For hexes, use shims to remove excess play.

For the bones, do the t2/t3/gt ones work?

Pretty sure since t2 would be identical to rc10t.

Thanks for that. I've never built a CVD but it was about the same cost as dogbones and b4 axles if I got all the right parts.
