Re-re-release Dogbone(?) falling out?

So, I've gotten a re-re-released RC10 for my son to go alongside my gold pan. However, his car is throwing the dogbone side of the drive shafts on the transmission side. I remember converting my gold pan to pure dogbones in the 80s, but sincerely doubt there's an aftermarket for this now. So...

Is this a common problem? I've even tried setting the camber to shorten the distance (and it worked for a while).
If this is a common problem is there a reasonable solution?
OR a conversion hub? If I have a hub I can probably fab dogbones out of spares (cut, sleeve, and weld)
I could do it to the original parts too, but it seemed like a bad idea to ruin discontinued parts instead of getting a bunch of spares meant for a more common car.

IF there's a common solution I'll be happy to add it to the parts thread.

Do the shocks have the limiters in them? They should have ~5/8" of spacers inside each rear shock.

If they don't, the rear arms will drop too much and allow the bones to fall out.

There should also bee small springs in the axles that keep the bone seated in the transmission outdrive.

For the shocks? I'll have to take them apart and look, that's a lot of space.

I don't remember any springs in the dogbones. I will Read The Fine Manual and see what I've missed.

Thanks!

The rerelease manual tells you the improper amount of spacers to use for the rear shocks- and the ones they included were much thinner than the proper 6466 spacers spec’d. This was a issue I don’t think they ever resolved in print. Using the old manual will show you the three needed per side, or just add 5/8” of silicone tubing as per the original manual

Ok, yeah, there are three VERY small spacers in the manual I have. I just pulled a shock and disassembled. I had three small ones and there are three more I can give. Each are about 1mm? So, I guess I'll try adding those other six. Here's what they sent in my version for future reference.

That seems to have done the trick. The clearance isn't as much as I'd like, but the dogbone stays within the cup through an entire turn when the arm is as low as it can be. We romped on it a bit and tried to force the issue, but were unable to cause it again with the extra three spaces on each side.
