Question about original RC10T

Hi there, I have an original rc10t that I have been preparingfor vintage racing.

I noticed that it comes with 4.5 degrees of toe in on both sides.

This seems a lot to me, is there any reason why they decided to put so much toe in on it? What sort of tracks was it designed for when it came out.

Also, has anyone run 4.5 degrees toe in, and what effect did it have? I race a team truck with only 3 degrees at the ba k and that seems plenty!

Anymore, it seems that 3° rear mounts and 1.5° rear carriers are the most common. If someone breaks a mount or carrier, those are what they are most likely to find.

If I can't mix and match parts between my cars to get with I need, I have swapped sides on the carriers. Swapping the carriers gets you back to 1.5° total.

4.5* seems a bit excessive to me, I personally wouldn't go more then 3* for most tracks.

More rear toe makes the truck square up a bit quicker and drive straighter when on the throttle (reducing on power rotation) which is good for super loose conditions.
