I purchased a used Tamiya Blackfoot many years ago and it ended up boxed up in the attic as it was when I got it. I have started to clean it up and repair/replace parts in effort to run it again. The truck had these green shocks installed in the rear position which appear to be to long busting the mounts on both ends. The truck also had what I believe are Kyosho Platinums on the front. Again, too short limiting travel. I may try swapping them unless I decide to go another route.

Anyway, can anyone identify the green shocks? Are these something sold by Tamiya or were they aftermarket from someone like Parma?

Not sure about the green shock but the other shock definitely looks like Kyosho Platinum. In fact, I'm 99.999% certain it's Platinum.

Bottom shock is in fact, the greatest shock ever made ever. KYOSHO PLATINUM. Did I mention how great it was?

The green shock is by Trinity.

More specifically a Trinity Power Plus shock. There's 8 of them on my Clod Buster I believe.

Bernie Sanders only has one pair of underwear and you have 8 shocks on one vehicle????

Thanks! I was not aware Trinity made/sold shocks and it looks like this was happening while I was actively racing. From what I found on the dirt-burners site they were color coded for application and the green ones are for the Blackfoot.

At first I was unsure of the Platinum shocks as I had never owned them before and they are a bit of a departure from the Kyosho Golds. A quick search on the web confirmed that is what they are. I was also able to find instructions for them on this site so that helps as I was unsure how much travel to leave in the piston adjustment. They came with the single notch pistons so I am limited to them.
