LXT runner build

This is kind of my introductory post, I've been lurking for a while, but finally made an account. I have been restoring old stadium trucks for a few years now, and this is what's currently on the bench. Hope you guys enjoy! I love seeing build threads.
I recently found a Pro SE in my shop that I bought from a friend over 20 years ago, many missing parts, a good amount of rust & lots of dust.
I bought a pretty nice LXT on ebay not too long ago, and since it came with a few spare used parts, I decided to build this old car into an LXT to drive, since the other one is just for the shelf, and buggies aren't really my style. I thought "This won't be that expensive, since I have wheels, shock towers and arms already!"
A little pin/axle polishing
Some reassembly, still waiting on parts
Made some hole repairs with Bondic UV filler & got some RPM servo mounts
And now here it sits, with some cool blue NOS Associated, and Sabula Tech purple hardware.

Primarily waiting on some RPM rod ends to show up, that will allow for final assembly. Then to decide on tires & a power system to carefully bash around this old truck. Updates to come!

Nice!
Stadium trucks were never popular here in Sweden. But they sure are cool!
And that Pro SE brings back some nice memories.

Finally got some RPM rod ends & some new titanium turnbuckles, and here she sits. Not sure I'm digging the yellow wheels on this one though. Maybe a weird combo of the blue/purple hardware & red springs? Not sure. Either way, a power system & body are about all that's left, and maybe some white wheels (If I can find some!) Lucky for me the previous owner cut the center out of the battery hold-down (I would have struggled to cut up a rareish part!), so an old Losi lipo fits in there pretty well.

Looking good. LXT holds a special place for me, first truck I really raced with. I still have my original one, I have enough parts to build nearly 3 others, lol.

Found some old Factory Works rear RC10T wheels, and some old Pro-LIne 2574 JRXT/RC10T front wheels, along with some Pro-Line Gladiators I had from the past & new "Edge" front tires. Digging the white wheels a bit more, wish I could find some Pro-Line 2576 wheels to match the fronts, but these will do for now. And of course topping it off is a TBG LXT body. Getting so close to driving it!

Yeeeaaaah, I've been out of the game for a while, so most of my gear has become "antique" by default. It's crazy how sought after/hard to find some of this stuff has become in a mere decade or so. Fortunately I take good care of things, so most of my antiquated stuff still works like new!

Ok so the front wheels didn't match, and the rear A&L wheels were for an RC10T, so here we are with proper A&L 5054 & 5055 wheels (boy this thing is wide now!). Added a Reedy SC600 & 3300kv motor (taken from a newer Associated kit). All that's left is paint. Gotta decide on an early 90's theme and on the track she goes.

Finally some wheels that feel right! Pro-Line 2572 front & ???? rear (If anyone knows the Losi truck rear part # please let me know! I know the RC10T rear is 2573, but can't find anything on the Losi rears), along with a set of new vintage Losi tires. Added some Vintage RC carbon fiber shock towers, front brace & shorty lipo holder, found an RPM front bumper too. I still haven't painted the body, but that's about all that's left before it gets christened.

Very nicely done. I particularly like the Vintage RC carbon fiber parts - I used the same pieces on my track build LXT, minus the battery holder. Nice find on the wheels too, by the way. Get it painted up!
